This Cookie Policy explains how Scorechain SA (“Scorechain”, “we”, “our”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on scorechain.com, scorechain.ai, ai.scorechain.com and ai-app.scorechain.com, including their respective subdomains (together, the "Sites").
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we process personal data and how you can exercise your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Luxembourg Data Protection Act.
Cookies are small data files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to function, remember user preferences, and measure site performance. Some cookies are essential, while others are used for analytics or marketing and require your prior consent.
Similar technologies. In addition to cookies, we and the software libraries we integrate may use your browser's local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage). These store data on your device in a similar way to cookies, but are not automatically transmitted to our servers with each request. Where such storage is strictly necessary to deliver a function you have requested, it does not require your consent; where it is not, we treat it in the same way as a non-essential cookie.
Scorechain uses cookies and tracking technologies for three main purposes:
a. Essential (Functional) Cookies
Wallet session storage (Scorechain AI). Where you sign in to Scorechain AI by connecting a self-custodied wallet, the connection library stores technical information in your browser's local storage, including a session identifier, the connected wallet address and the selected network.
This is strictly necessary to keep you signed in — without it you would be disconnected on every page load. It is not used for analytics or advertising, and cannot be disabled while you use wallet-based login. The personal data processed in this context is described in our Privacy Policy.
b. Analytics (Statistical) Cookies
These cookies collect aggregated information about visitor activity to help us understand how our website is used.
They measure page performance, clicks, and navigation paths to improve content and UX.
Analytics cookies are only set when you give consent.
We use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and similar tools managed through Google Tag Manager.
c. Marketing (Advertising and Retargeting) Cookies
These cookies help us display relevant advertisements and measure their effectiveness. They may track your browsing behavior across websites to show you personalized ads. These technologies are used across our Sites, including the authenticated Scorechain AI environment. The advertising platforms currently in use, per Site, are listed in the consent banner. Marketing cookies are optional and require your consent before activation.
When you first visit our website, a cookie banner appears to inform you about cookie usage and to collect your preferences. Your consent choices are managed through Usercentrics, which allows you to:

You may also configure your browser settings to block or delete cookies; however, this may affect site functionality.
Your consent choices apply to non-essential cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary items — including the wallet session storage described in Section 3(a) — are not covered by the consent banner, as they are required to operate the service you have requested. You can remove them by disconnecting your wallet, signing out, or clearing your browser storage.
Cookies are stored on your device for no longer than 13 months, and your consent preferences are also retained for 13 months in accordance with CNPD guidance. After this period, we will request your consent again.
Some cookies may be set by third-party services integrated on our Sites (e.g., embedded videos, analytics dashboards, advertising networks). These providers are responsible for their own data processing and privacy practices. You can find more information in their respective privacy policies accessible through the consent banner (Usercentrics).
Server-side tracking. Part of our analytics and advertising measurement operates through a server-side setup. In this configuration, data is first collected in a first-party context through our own infrastructure, and is then forwarded to the relevant advertising and analytics platforms only where you have given consent for that platform. This means that certain cookies are set by us rather than directly by the third party, even though the resulting data is shared with it. The platforms concerned are listed in the consent banner.
Wallet connection. Wallet-based login relies on a software library integrated into Scorechain AI and on a connection relay operated by reown inc. The storage described in Section 3(a) is written by that library into your own browser as first-party storage: it is not a third-party cookie and is not used to track you across websites. Separately, the wallet application you choose (e.g. MetaMask, Rainbow) is an independent third party whose practices are governed by its own privacy policy. The connection data transmitted through the relay is described in our Privacy Policy.
We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect new cookies or legal requirements. The updated version will always be available at www.scorechain.com/cookies-policy with a revised “Last updated” date.
